Izaiah was born and raised in Winston-Salem, N.C. His senior year of high school, his family moved to Grand Forks, N.D., due to military relocation. After graduation, he attended the University of North Dakota for marketing and entrepreneurship but 3 years later was presented with an opportunity he couldn’t pass up. Izaiah stepped away for a marketing role at a startup company called QuikPlace, a platform for influencer marketing.
Prior to Hatch Realty, he worked as a pharmacy technician. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, he lost his job due to staffing layoffs like many others. That’s when he began his search for a new career.
Real estate was never Izaiah’s intended career path, but he knew he wanted his next job to not feel like a job. Izaiah wanted a flexible schedule and the opportunity to connect with people in the community he loves. Real estate has allowed him to help people through some of the biggest transitions of their lives. It also provides the flexibility to pursue his passion projects, like designing for his clothing brand, Volume.
Izaiah is a family man with a devotion to God. He comes from a large family, including 10 siblings. He and his wife, Ellie (who he met on Instagram!), live in Grand Forks, N.D., with their Corgi named Jupiter.
When he’s not working, you can find Izaiah capturing the beauty of everyday life through photography and videography. An athlete by nature, he spends his summers enjoying the bike trails at Turtle River State Park with his wife. He appreciates a great cup of joe and loves to collect different types of coffee from around the world and prepare it in as many ways as possible.
Fun fact about Izaiah: he used to collect rocks as a kid and built a collection of more than 100 different rocks. The best part? He eventually sold them. (Now that’s an entrepreneur at heart!)
