Kevan Miller
Kevan was born and raised in Pelican Rapids, Minn., the “home of the world’s largest pelican”. Spending a lot of time with his grandparents growing up, Kevan adopted much of his morals, values, work ethic, and parenting style from them.
After high school, he joined the trucking industry and spent many years on the road. He draws much of his experience from this time, starting as a driver, pivoting to dispatch, and even taking on the role of broker to coordinate shipments before leaving the industry.
In March 2021, Kevan and his significant other started working with the Hatch team to buy their first home together. Hearing more about the company’s people and culture throughout the process opened his mind to other possibilities for his career. His interview solidified “this is what I want to do”.
Kevan and his partner, Tisha, live in Horace, N.D., with a house full of fun, including Tisha’s daughter, Sidney, and Kevan’s 3 children – Kiefer, Kaidyn, and Klohie. They have 3 cats (Ollie, Rocky, and Mouse) as well as their German Shepard Husky named Casanova. Kevan is heavily involved in his kids’ lives, whether it’s attending their school activities or creating meaningful adventures they’ll remember for years to come.
In his free time, you’ll find Kevan enjoying the great outdoors by backpacking, hiking, and even hammocking overnight. (Crisp nights make for some of the best sleep he’s ever had!) When the family tags along, they pack up the 37-foot camper and explore Minnesota and North Dakota’s breathtaking state parks. He loves bass and walleye fishing with the family and spending time on the water in their kayaks.
An interesting fact Kevan shared with us is that a cow-bison hybrid is called a “beefalo”.
