Most buyers either walk or drive past a home, real estate, and decide whether or not to enter the property based on the look of the exterior. What many buyers may not realize is that the sellers inside the house may be keener to engage with potential buyers than those standing outside. The key to selling your house is in making it appealing to as many potential buyers as possible, and having the best real estate agents in North Dakota can significantly increase your chances of selling your home fast and for top dollar.
Erik Hatch isn’t just selling homes – he’s building leaders and creating communities that thrive. Based in Fargo, North Dakota (where the winters are tough, but the people are tougher), Erik has crafted a career around leading leaders and fostering connection.
Sure, his real estate empire, Hatch Brokered by Real, has sold over 7,000 homes and consistently dominates the North Dakota market. The greatest successes haven't come from the homes sold, but rather the impact that's been made on the lives of the people on Erik's team.
Erik’s real passion is in the communities he’s built and nurtured.
At the heart of his work are three powerful spaces:
When he’s not cultivating these thriving hubs, Erik is shaping the future of real estate through Hatch Coaching, where he mentors the top 1% of agents and leaders in the industry. His approach is simple – servant leadership mixed with a dash of humor and a whole lot of authenticity.
But wait, there’s more! Erik’s philanthropic efforts have raised over $7 million globally to fight poverty and human trafficking, and locally he’s helped generate over $1 million to combat homelessness and uplift vulnerable kids in Fargo.
He’s also a two-time TED Talk speaker, author of “Play for the Person Next to You” and “The Perfect Real Estate Agent Blueprint”, and a frequent keynote for giants like Microsoft and The United Way.
At the end of the day, Erik is just a guy who loves building better humans, better businesses, and better communities. He lives in Fargo with his wife Emily and their two amazing kids, Finley and Simon – leading by example and proving that leadership isn’t just a job, it’s a lifestyle.
Ashley was born in Rapid City, South Dakota but her family moved to Bismarck when she was a toddler and knows it as “home.” After a whirlwind of degree changes - from criminal justice, electrical engineering, exercise science and finally back to criminal justice - she graduated from Minot University with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. As she worked part-time while raising her son and finishing her degree, she knew she wanted to get involved with something different - something new that she needed to learn. Realty is a new adventure for her but she feels confident in her ability to learn and grow in order to help the community. Ashley is a mother to a one year old boy, Koda, who keeps her on her toes! She enjoys watching football (go, Packers!) and basketball (go, Lakers!), spending quality time with her family and thrifting/antique shopping. Her “WHY” can be wrapped up into a quote that motivates her: “Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen” - Michael Jordan Fun Fact: Tuesday is her favorite day of the week. Bring on Taco Tuesdays!
Erika was born and raised in Wadena, MN, and attended Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) to earn her Bachelors in Social Work, with an emphasis in Criminal Justice. Erika has been with Hatch since 2017. Prior to entering the real estate world, she worked many years in the service industry as well as working in the human services background at the Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch. As a result, Erika has a down-to-earth attitude and is genuinely interested in people - their thoughts, behaviors and how they became who they are. She is a natural learner, wanting to know the why behind everything, which allows her to avoid the potential risks for her clients. She enjoys teaching and walking first-time homebuyers through the process, answering questions and finding additional resources for clients if they need extra help during the transaction. She likes thrifting in her spare time - not because she likes shopping, but because she likes to get a deal. She also enjoys WW2 history, including movies and documentaries made on the topic. In addition, if you love to travel, she would love to hear your experiences as she plans her next trip! She’ll cheer for any MN team and enjoys a number of sports. She loves food (eating it and cooking it). Although she doesn’t make it to the lake often, she likes camping and fishing when she can.
Born and raised in the heart of south-central Minnesota, Maddie Teachout is proud to call Waseca, MN her hometown. Her Midwestern roots shaped her strong work ethic and genuine care for people, qualities that shine through in everything she does. Maddie graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in Strategic Communications and a minor in Interior Design. Her background blends creativity with communication, making her a natural when it comes to helping clients visualize the potential of a home and navigating the buying or selling process. Before joining Hatch, Maddie worked as a Visual Merchandiser at Target, where she honed her eye for design and learned how impactful visual appeal can be. That role sparked her interest in real estate, driven by a love for homes and the stories built within them. For Maddie, helping people find a place where memories are made is more than a job, it’s a passion. Maddie comes from a close-knit family, including her mom Melanie, dad Jason, three siblings: Brittany, Allissa, and Josh, and two beloved dogs, Snickers the Yorkie Poo and Camper the Golden Retriever. When she’s not working, you can find Maddie at the gym, soaking up sunshine by the lake, or cheering on the Fargo Force and the RedHawks. She believes in living each day better than the last, finding joy in the little things, and always being someone others can count on. Her “why” is rooted in relationships being a dependable guide for clients at every stage of their home journey, whether it's a first-time homebuyer starting fresh or a couple finding a cozy spot to host holiday gatherings with grandchildren. Fun Fact: Try this, you can’t hum and breathe at the same time (especially not while holding your nose!). Maddie’s goals are simple yet powerful: to succeed, grow, and one day finally try a seafood boil. With a warm heart, a strong work ethic, and an eye for design, Maddie is here to help you find not just a house, but a home filled with memories waiting to be made.
